The Boldons are linked villages towns in The Metropolitan Borough of South Tyneside. Between them there are 11 pubs, with only 5 selling real ale, and 3 clubs of which 2 sell real ale. There is also a closed pub. There are two Conservation Areas ( CA’s) :- West Boldon ( 1 on map) and East Boldon ( on map). Public transport information is correct as of July 2024. This area is served by the Green Tyne & Wear Metro line. Brockley Whins and East Boldon Stations are shown on the map ; stations within 15 minutes of a pub are indicated.

Boldon Colliery and West Boldon

1. Black Horse

2. The Crown

3. Red Lion

East Boldon

4. Beggar’s Bridge

6. Boldon Cricket Club.

7. Grey Horse

8. Mid Boldon Club

A regular recipient of the local branch Club of the Year, The Mid , as it is also known, serves 4 changing real ales .It is within the East Boldon Conservation Area
